Mid 2014 my partner Amanda and I (Nathan) were in the process of looking into buying our 1st home with our 5 year old daughter. We had spent the past 6 years in a rented home and needed to go ahead and spend the money buying our own. Looking into the Help To Buy schemes being offered we got our deposit together. In that time we heard about the new Bloor homes being built at Martlesham. Our life insurance thankfully included critical illness cover and after making a claim Amanda received a large sum of money aiding us to pay most of the mortgage off, treat ourselves to a holiday and many more things including a very special car for Amanda herself. A personal present after what she had been through. This policy itself has basically turned what was a terrible situation into something that made it a little less. Things are now bright for the future. We have a small mortgage, a lovely home and the future for Amanda’s health looks positive.
